WDHVC Annual Road Run
WDHVC Annual Road Run
The club introduced its first Road Run in 1993. The event proved highly popular and has since become a fixture each August, offering a scenic route of around 80 miles through Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, with static displays in Peterborough and Wisbech.
The 2025 Wisbech & District Historic Vehicle Club Road Run marked our 36th year as a thriving local organisation and our 30th Road Run.
Once again, we had an excellent field of entrants, with something in the classic and vintage world for everyone’s taste. The vehicles on display were a credit to their owners - some in long-term ownership and regular use, while others had been freshly restored or recommissioned – ensuring there was always something new to see and enjoy.
We are grateful to the local authorities for allowing the use of Somers Road Car Park as the assembly point for the run and also as its return point in the afternoon. We also thank Bauer Media at Lynchwood Park for allowing us to use their car park as our mid-run stopover point.
The Wisbech & District Historic Vehicle Club (WDHVC) Annual Road Run will take place on Sunday, 16th August 2026.
The event will start and finish at Somers Road Car Park, Wisbech (near PE13 1JF) and will include a planned mid-route stop at the Bauer Media Car Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough (PE2 6EA).
The Road Run is one of the club's flagship events and attracts around 200 historic and classic vehicles from across the region. Participants travel a scenic route of approximately 80 miles through Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, and Peterborough.
The day begins with a static vehicle display in Wisbech before vehicles depart on the Road Run. Following a stop in Peterborough, participants return to Wisbech for a further vehicle display, prize-giving ceremony, and charity fundraising activities.
To accommodate the event, Somers Road Car Park will be partially reserved for participating vehicles during the day. We're sorry for the inconvenience and thank residents and visitors for their understanding and support.
All proceeds from the Road Run, after expenses, are donated to local charities.
